Iniciativa visa o abastecimento contínuo dos Bancos de Leite Humano
A Secretaria de Saúde (SES) realizou, nesta segunda-feira (19), a comemoração oficial da Semana Distrital de Doação de Leite Materno, no auditório da Fundação de Ensino e Pesquisa em Ciências da Saúde (Fepecs). A solenidade contou com a presença da primeira-dama Ilza Queiroz, madrinha do Aleitamento Materno no DF. O objetivo da Semana é comemorar, conscientizar e divulgar a doação de leite materno por meio de campanhas, debates, palestras e seminários. A iniciativa também pretende aumentar a doação de leite materno e o abastecimento contínuo dos Bancos de Leite Humano (BLH).
Ilza Queiroz saudou e agradeceu as mães doadoras que participaram da solenidade. “Doar leite é um ato de amor e contribui para que possamos salvar vidas, alimentar crianças internadas na UTI, cujas mães não conseguem quantidade de leite suficiente para seus filhos”, afirmou. A médica também agradeceu a atuação do Corpo de Bombeiros Militar do Distrito Federal (CBMDF). “Sabemos que se não fossem os bombeiros, muitas mães até teriam a intenção de doar o leite, mas a necessidade de levá-lo ao Banco de Leite e ter um transporte adequado não seria possível sem a corporação”, enfatizou.
A primeira-dama parabenizou ainda o trabalho da SES/DF. “A Secretaria e o Governo do DF apoiam totalmente essa ação voluntária das doadoras junto aos Bancos de Leite, oferecendo assistência para as mães, informações sobre a importância da doação e da amamentação, além de mostrar que o aleitamento e a doação não são impossíveis de serem realizadas”, comentou Ilza.
A subsecretária de Atenção Primária à Saúde, Rosalina Sudo, representou o secretário de saúde, Elias Fernando Miziara, e demonstrou alegria em comemorar a data. “Trata-se de uma semana importante para lembrar toda sociedade sobre o ato de doar o leite materno. O serviço dos Bancos de Leite Humano e a doação no DF são exemplos para o país e para o mundo”, disse Rosalina.
Durante o evento foram homenageados os parceiros que atuam na doação de leite materno, como o CBMDF, servidoras dos BLH e Postos de Coleta de Leite Humano (PCLH), entre outros departamentos da SES/DF.
Também foi prestigiada, a moradora de São Sebastião, Daiane Ribeiro, 21 anos, que representou as mães doadoras e receptoras de leite materno do DF. “No tempo em que minha filha estava internada no Hospital Regional do Paranoá, fiquei um período sem produzir leite e recebi a doação. Hoje tenho leite suficiente para ela e já doei para o hospital. Da mesma forma que ela recebeu, quero continuar a ajudar outras crianças internadas, porque esse trabalho é muito bonito”, contou.

Instituída por meio da Lei nº5.154, de 19 de agosto de 2013, sancionada pelo governador do DF, Agnelo Queiroz, a Semana Distrital de Doação de Leite Materno foi inserida no calendário oficial de eventos do DF. A programação de incentivo à amamentação será realizada, anualmente, na semana que incluir a data 19 de maio, em que se comemora o Dia Mundial de Doação de Leite Humano.

Egyptians voted for a third and final day Monday on constitutional changes that could keep President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi in power until 2030, amid reports of people actively being encouraged to go the polls.
Sisi, who become president in 2014 and was re-elected in 2018 after eliminating all serious political competitors, is widely expected to win backing for the proposed amendments.
The sweeping changes would extend his current term until 2024 and would also give him the right to stand for another six-year term.
Other controversial amendments on the ballot include boosting his control over the judiciary and giving the military even greater influence in Egyptian political life.
AFP correspondents saw pro-Sisi volunteers handing out boxed meals at several polling stations in Cairo to voters after they had cast their ballots.
The parcels contained staples such as oil, rice, pasta and sugar.
Human Rights Watch has criticised the “grossly unfree, rights-abusive environment” of the vote, where the ‘No’ campaign has been effectively muzzled.
Ahmed Badawy, an engineer and youth activist with two political parties, wrote on Twitter on Sunday that he had been arrested, using the widely used hashtag “Go down, say No”.
He posted a picture of himself earlier holding a red placard in an upmarket suburb of Cairo with the text “No, to the constitutional changes”.
“He didn’t commit any crimes. He was expressing his views in a peaceful manner”, Badawy’s lawyer Mohamed al-Baqer told AFP.
Badawy is detained in a police station but the family have received no official notification from the authorities, Baqer said.
In Imbaba, a working-class suburb hugging the Nile, an eyewitness on Monday told AFP of seeing street vendors being forcefully loaded onto buses to go vote.
On the first day of the referendum, some voters told AFP their employers had encouraged them to vote “Yes” and transported them to polling stations in company buses.
In their initial report, an international observer team said “there were no hurdles to voting”.
Egypt’s state-affiliated foreign media body on Sunday denounced instances of critical international coverage.
The referendum also proposes other changes to the five-year-old constitution, including creating a second parliamentary chamber and a quota ensuring at least 25 percent of lawmakers are women.
The final results will be announced on April 27.

After roaring ashore in Florida, the weakened Hurricane Helene quickly moved through Georgia, then soaked the Carolinas and Tennessee with torrential rains that flooded creeks and rivers.

The iconic image of gamer is a teen in his bedroom.
However, new research has found that in fact, it’s far more likely to be their parents, or even grandparents, blowing up aliens or solving puzzles.
Researchers found the average US gamers is in fact now aged 43, married with children, and taking home $36k a year – while the over-70s are the group most likely to have more than ten downloaded to their phone.

Texting (78 per cent), calls (67 per cent) and taking photos (32 per cent) emerged as the top uses for cells, but playing games (30 per cent) beat social media (27 per cent), email (23 per cent) and listening to music (13 per cent).
Most people (34 per cent) play seven days a week, with puzzle-solving the most popular genre, followed by action, social, quiz and sports.
The bedroom is the most popular location for mobile gaming (68 per cent), ahead of the bathroom (53 per cent) and the workplace (39 per cent).
The poll of 1,000 US mobile gamers by GuruArcade.com also found what phones are being used for.

The average player has four games on their mobile phone and will spend a little over a half an hour a day, four days a week, trying to improve their highest score on their favorite gaming app.

Sam Cross of Guru Arcade, makers of mobile game Pop Rocket Rescue, said: ‘You can play a mobile game anytime, anywhere, since smartphones are so portable.
Forty-one percent of people have played a mobile game for up to three hours in one sitting.

‘Mobile games are designed to be played in small chunks of time, while waiting or taking a break. It’s bite-sized fun.’
The average person is most likely to play a mobile game between 1pm and 2pm, although one in five plays ‘any time’ of the day and one in eight prefers to play between the hours of 9pm and midnight.
Forty-one percent have played a mobile game for up to three hours in one sitting.
Eighty-one percent can’t resist the fun these games provide and 42 percent play because it’s exercise for the brain – but their fun can sometimes mean ‘game over’ in a different sense.
From getting fired from work, to arriving late or completely missing an event, 27 per cent confess that their mobile game playing has gotten them into trouble.
In the UK, an Ofcom study recently found 16 per cent of adults now exclusively use smartphones or tablets to go online, a 10 per cent increase on last year.
AMERICA’S INTERNET ADDICTION
One-fifth of all Americans reported to being on the internet ‘almost constantly’, with young adults making up the largest percentage of this category.
The majority of Americans – 73 per cent – indicated that they go online on a daily basis, and many go on several times per day.
A Pew Research Center survey collected data from internet users between June and July 2015, and confirmed that Americans are constantly logging in.
Young people are the most connected; the study found that 36 per cent of people ages 18 to 29 are online almost constantly, and 50 per cent go on several times per day.
Teens and adults were found to share similar internet habits, with 24 percent of teenagers reporting almost constant use, and adults coming in at a similar figure.
The study also found half of adults (51 per cent) who use search engines do not realise the top items on many results pages are adverts or sponsored links.
The figures are from Ofcom’s Adults’ Media Use And Attitudes Report.
‘This indicates these devices are not just supplementing PCs and laptops, but are starting to replace them,’ the regulator said.
‘There is a need for people to be more aware or savvy about the content they are accessing online’.

It might be one of the most of the most visited stores on the high street, but Topshop is failing to live up to the standards expected by its clientele.
In a new survey by consumer champions Which?, the fashion retailer came 98th in a list of 100 UK high street stores followed by WHSmith at 99 and mobile phone retailer EE at the bottom of the pile.
Based on responses from 9,500 shoppers, shops were rated on prices, environment, customer service and, the range and quality of products.

BHS ranked bottom of all the UK department stores with customers describing its stock as ‘outdated’, while another added that it ‘does not give the impression of being a good-quality store’.
Performing equally poorly was H&M which also found itself languishing in the bottom five, alongside competitor Topshop.
EE was named the worst shop as customers commented on long waiting times, busy stores and sometimes unhelpful staff
At the other end of the table, department store John Lewis narrowly missed out on the top spot for the second year running, with Lush Cosmetics claiming first place.
Lush scored highest for product range and quality, customer service and store environment, with staff described as ‘helpful’ and ‘friendly’, and the products as ‘excellent’.

However, it wasn’t all good news for the cosmetics retailer which got a lower score on pricing, with one shopper saying it is ‘ideal for gifts, but high prices.’
John Lewis also lost marks for its high prices with customers noting that although products are ‘great quality’, they ‘can be expensive’.
In an editorial to accompany the new research, Which? said that although tidiness and short queues boosted the shopping experience, they were also regarded as relatively unimportant.
‘Although tidy stores with short queues make for a pleasant shopping experience, our analysis found that these factors are generally the least important in creating a positive impression on shoppers – and have the least impact on the overall customer score.’
Price is the most important factor when deciding where to shop with four in 10 (40 per cent) saying this was their top consideration.
Which? Editor Richard Headland added: ‘Consumers look for quality in both products and service. If retailers can get their products right, along with excellent customer service and a great shopping environment, customers will keep coming back through their doors.’

SERVES 6-8
20g butter
2 onions, thinly sliced
200g wild mushrooms, such as chanterelle and porcini, cleaned and sliced
50ml white wine
6 thyme sprigs, leaves picked and roughly chopped
170g stale bread, sliced
1.8kg pumpkin
100ml cream
100ml mushroom, vegetable or chicken stock
60g grated gruyère
cayenne pepper, for sprinkling
1 tbsp grated parmesan
olive oil, for rubbing
Heat the butter in a sauté pan over a medium-low heat. Add the onions with a pinch of salt and pepper and cook gently and slowly until they are well on their way to being caramelised. This takes 15-20 minutes.
Next, add the mushrooms and wine with another pinch of salt and sauté for 5-7 minutes until the mushrooms release their juices, are cooked and the liquid has reduced to almost dry. Add the thyme and, finally, check for seasoning before setting aside.
Toast your bread until lightly golden in colour. Set aside.
Cut around the stem to make a hole in the top of your pumpkin roughly the same size as the palm of your hand. Pull the top off gently, then scrape out the seeds and pulp on the inside and discard. Season the inside of the pumpkin with salt and pepper.
Preheat the oven to 220C/200C fan/gas 7.
Combine the cream and stock in a saucepan and heat until just below simmering point. Layer the mushroom and onion mixture, bread, cheese, cream and stock into the pumpkin. I like to add a little salt and pepper and a tiny sprinkling of cayenne pepper.
Repeat until all ingredients have been used and the pumpkin is filled generously. You don’t want it exploding though; if it doesn’t all fit, you’ll have a little excess filling.
Finish with the parmesan and replace the pumpkin top. Rub the outside of the pumpkin with olive oil and roast it on a tray, uncovered, for 2-3 hours or until the outside is darkened, tender and you see the cream mixture on the inside simmering out of the top. Allow to cool for 10 minutes or so before serving.
Serve by removing the top and scooping a spoonful of the inside (including some pumpkin) on to plates.

Lana branched out in a bizarre twiggy forest nymph dress and headpiece draped in a tulle veil at the event.
The singer left some heads scratching in the unconventional look, which consisted of a corseted custom beige gown designed by Alexander McQueen’s Seán McGirr.
The star took the ‘Garden of Time’ theme to heart, with her gown featuring brown branches throughout.
She accessorized the outfit by holding a single red rose in her hand. She also paired the look with chunky white clogs.
Lana — who recently teamed up with Kim for a Valentine’s Day SKIMS campaign — was joined by designer McGirr, who looked dapper in an all-black look.
He matched Lana’s rose with a dark rose-shaped brooch on his lapel.
Her unique headpiece forced Kim to duck out of the way a few times as Lana stood next to her during another red carpet interview.

The line, which alludes to when the 46-year-old rapper interrupted Taylor’s win at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, was supposedly passed on to the songstress for approval, but she denies ever giving it the OK.
Taylor said she had been contacted about the song, but she was ‘never made aware of the actual lyric, “I made that b**** famous.”‘
In an effort to prove Kanye’s version, Kim shared an edited clip from the studio of him calling up Taylor and seemingly getting her approval.
However, the clip shows him conveying the idea, more than the specific lyrics, and when the complete call later leaked it made it clear that the use of ‘b****,’ which seemed to be a major issue for Taylor, was left out completely.

The Costume Institute’s spring exhibition falls on the first Monday in May every year and is held at New York City’s Metropolitan Museum of Art.
This year the event is titled Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion while the dress code is The Garden of Time.
Jennifer Lopez, Zendaya, Bad Bunny and Chris Hemsworth are this year’s co-chairs. Also on the committee is Vogue’s Anna Wintour.
‘This year’s co-chairs reflect a variety of career achievements, and all have distinct style histories with the Met Gala,’ Vogue shared.
The showcase will feature approximately 250 items drawn from The Costume Institute’s permanent collection – with many of the pieces too fragile to ever be worn again.
The pieces will all be displayed using elements such as AI, GCI, and more while playing up themes of land, sea, and sky.
‘It is very much an ode to nature and the emotional poetics of fashion,’ said Andrew Bolton, Wendy Yu Curator in Charge of The Costume Institute, of the upcoming exhibition.
The honorary chairs for the evening are Loewe creative director Jonathan Anderson and TikTok CEO Shou Zi Chew.

A berth in the College Football Playoff championship game will be on the line when Texas and Ohio State meet Jan. 10 in one national semifinal, but so will hundreds of thousands of dollars for their head coaches.
Both Steve Sarkisian of Texas and Ryan Day of Ohio State stand to cash in big bonuses with a win at the Cotton Bowl in Arlington, Texas.
According to figures from USA Today, Sarkisian has earned $650,000 so far by qualifying for the semifinal after the Longhorns’ double-overtime win over Arizona State on Wednesday in the Peach Bowl. That’s on top of $250,000 he earned by reaching the Southeastern Conference title game.
Should the Longhorns play in the title game, he’ll earn another $250,000 — and that will be doubled with a win.
As for Day, reaching the CFP semifinal with Wednesday’s Rose Bowl win over Oregon in the quarterfinals has brought him an extra $350,000. If the Buckeyes defeat the Longhorns, he will be guaranteed an additional $150,000 — plus $500,000 more if they win the national championship for a total bonus payout of $1 million.
